Welcome to Tau Alpha Pi
Indiana Delta Chapter
Purdue University Calumet

"Fostering Excellence in Engineering Technology Education"

Tau Alpha Pi is the national honor society for engineering technology.  Tau Alpha Pi was founded in 1953 and was managed by engineering technology educator Fredrick J. Berger.  Berger made Tau Alpha Pi one of the nation's most selective honor societies, only accepting the top 4% of students.

The purpose of Tau Alpha Pi is twofold:

1.      to recognize high standards of scholarship among students in engineering

technology programs, and

2.      to promote and encourage scholastic achievement by offering outstanding engineering technology students membership in the society. The society rewards selected scholars for past achievements and accomplishments, while encouraging a lifetime of commitment to learning and scholarship.
