Purdue University Calumet Society for Human Resource Management, Chapter 5221, is committed to the personal and professional growth of our student members. The purpose of this organization is to help students gain exposure to the Human Resources field by incorporating classroom knowledge with real world experience. This is achieved by having experienced HR professionals as guest speakers, job visits with HR departments of local companies, and conferences with our parent chapter in Northwest Indiana. Our organization also strives to help the community through volunteer activities with local soup kitchens and shelters. Finally, we will prepare our members as they enter Human Resources profession by exposure to current topics in the field and developing leadership skills for their HR career.
Our purpose for this web page is to relate information to all students of Purdue University Calumet, members or not, about the ongoing activities of the SHRM organization, that everyone will be able to have access to. We would also like all members to be able to retrieve meeting agendas, newsletters, current news, conference updates, and other information that pertains to our student organization, even if you can not attend our bi-monthly meetings.
