Among the most promising things we have done as a club involves helping our community. We have participated in a number of fundraisers that benefited charities such as Toys for Tots and March of Dimes. Our club has also been involved in the events offered by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Last year, we heard the former Secretary of the Treasury speak on our nation's economic situation in downtown Chicago. Moreover, our club strives to provide our members an opportunity to hear from men and women within in the business field through our guest speaker program.

Advertising Team:

The campaign was part of their presentation in a National Student Advertising Competition.  The competition is run by the American Advertising Federation.  The Sixth District portion of their competition was comprised of twelve Universities in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana.  The Purdue University Calumet team that developed the campaign consisted of only eight students.  Their largest competitor was the University of Illinois that consistently has the largest AAF Chapter in the United States with hundreds of students.

The Purdue University Calumet team ranked fifth in the twelve University group in which they competed.  The winner was the U of Illinois, second was Michigan State U, third was Ball State U, and fourth was Central Michigan U.  We are proud of our team because they ranked higher than many schools with much larger programs and followed such a distinguished foursome at the top.
