-About the PUC Chapter The Purdue University Calumet Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers was founded cirrca 1985. From its inception , the PUC chapter has strived to follow NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. In doing so, PUC chapter has brought several recruiting companies to Purdue Calumet such as: Kraft Foods Inc., Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) and United Parcel Service (UPS). As one of the most active organizations on the Purdue Calumet campus, this chapter hosts a semi-annual poetry night, spades tournaments and several talent shows.
