VISION Blaze is about returning the fire to the temple, Christ’s earthen vessels: the fire of baptism, the fire of God’s anointing and the fires of His Spirit. “The Lord is like a refining fire… [He] does not change, therefore we are not consumed…the [issues] that stand before us will be like ashes under our foot.” –Malachi 3:2, 6; 4:3 Blaze is a ministry which will stand as an opposition to Satan on this campus. For every opposition there is an anointing being lifted as a standard against that opposition. Every time the devil stands up that anointing is present to knock him down. “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will lift up a standard against him, and he will not prosper.” –Isaiah 59:19 Blaze is designed for God’s people. It’s present to see God’s people touched by the heart of God and bring understanding of what it means to touch the heart of God. When Solomon finished the temple, and “When the priests left the holy place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord so that the priests could no longer minister because of the cloud, since the Lord’s glory had filled the temple of the Lord. Then Solomon said, “The Lord intends to dwell in the dark cloud; I have truly built you a princely house, a dwelling where you may abide forever.”” -1 Kings 8:10-13 Blaze is a personal ministry. It’s more that just a campus ministry; it’s about understanding God as the intimate Friend that He is and understanding how to cope with relationships, identity crisis, unconditional love and forgiveness. “One thing have I desired of the Lord and that shall I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and inquire in [His] temple.” “That I may know Him, in the fellowship of His suffering, and in the power of His resurrection, and in the conformity unto His death, that perhaps I might share in the resurrection from the dead.” –Psalm 27:4, Philippians 3:10-11 Blaze is a platform ministry for people who are called to minister on this campus. There are those who carry an extended vision who now have the opportunity to utilize this organization to help build the kingdom of God. “At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest of send out laborers for his harvest.” “Then He summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to every disease and every illness.” –Matthew 9:36-10:1
Dominic Adams “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisors make victory sure.” -Proverbs 11:4 A nation falls because of confusion and disorder, As Disciples of Christ, we are to lay the foundation and strive for maturity in the Spirit of a man. Our purpose as Disciples of Christ is to enhance the Kingdom of God by planting the Word of God in the hearts of those astray. “And this is my prayer: That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.” – Philippians 1:9-10
