Bylaws

Blaze does not favor anyone’s doctrinal belief except that it is the infallible word of God as expressed through the Canonized scripture.

Blaze is a subsidiary of the local church body, and does not seek to inhibit that function, but acts as an embassy for those churches.

Blaze will not discriminate against anyone because of race, gender, class or orientation as in keeping with Purdue University Calumet organization guidelines.

Blaze attendees (including members and officers) must stay in line with BLAZE order and protocol as all memberships can be revoked by Leadership Team with Advisor’s approval, in accordance with PUC organization policy, Blaze vision, doctrine, bylaws and constitution.  (1) Blaze officer will be delegated to address individual at first offense.  (2) Blaze Leadership Team will address individual after careful advising from advisor at second offense.  (3) Blaze President will, with written notification to advisor, university and individual, dismiss individual from attending any Blaze function and revoke individual’s membership.

Blaze, Membership, and Leadership Team meetings must have a quorum of four-fifths in order to take a vote.  Leadership Team must have a quorum present in order to conduct meetings.

Blaze procedures for elections include the following: (1) Blaze will hold a special membership meeting to nominate officers.  (2) The Leadership Team will then review and approve nominations, contacting individuals for acceptance of nominations and notification of dates of nominees’ addresses and elections.  Nominees must then return nominee forms with recommendations within one week before nominees’ addresses.  (3) Nominees will then be announced by the Leadership Team and will address membership in a formal speech.  (4) Members will then vote with quorum by secret ballot for the new Leadership Team.

Blaze will fill all vacancies by going through the election process as listed above, filling vacancies as soon as possible.  These officers’ terms will only last for the duration of the term in which elected.

Blaze will utilize funds for organizational purposes only in keeping with PUC organization policy and BLAZE vision, doctrine, bylaws and constitution.  Any outside use of funds is strictly prohibited except by consent of the membership.
