Founded by Andrea Pepler-Murray in 1999 on the Purdue Calumet Campus, Hoosier ADAPT is devoted to advocating the rights of all people regardless of their disability. Andrea has been instrumental in getting changes on campus to get vendors and school officials to comply with the ADA laws. A Graduate of Partners in Policymaking of 1997, The Indiana Governor’s Planning Council for People with Disabilities trained Andrea to be an Activist. This gave her the power to lobby for bills in the state of Indiana.  Andrea has been honored with several awards.
