MISSION STATEMENT

The year 1968 marked the end of the Civil Rights movement, but those who sacrificed their time, and even their lives for the greater good of American society, did not do so in vain.

Founded in 1968, The Black Student Union continues the legacy that those brave souls who came before us began.  We vow to provide a collective structure that encourages, develops, and protects the interest of the students here at Purdue University Calumet.  We will promote a more unified campus environment by breaking down the barriers of race, sex, & religion to promote the importance of fellowship and community.  And in doing this, we will create new leaders, with new legacies.
